Now that you host yourself your download files, maybe it would be possible to set an automatic update feature.

I think also of an automated script on linux, who would stop and update subsonic at a specific time if an update is available. Something like the one for updating madsonic.
For security reasons, the install part cannot be directly inside madsonic (especially when you use it in non root).
I will wait for your next builds to see what I can do with this part.

Strange - the auto update link shows a new version of 4.8.3336 but no new version is present?
I am running version 4.8.3330.beta3

I see the same thing. I just assumed that this is monitoring wherever he has his latest build stored. It probably needs to be changed bu ME to monitor the upload location rather than wherever he's compiling his latest build.

It is beta ... I'm sure he'll get it fixed.
