Can an older android phone get Jelly bean? I am planning on buying a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but the store that i am getting it from (Sasktel) only has the on the android 4.0 ice cream sandwich. Will i be able to get Jelly bean on it? if so how do i do it? is it simply like an iPhone where i can plug it into the computer and get the update there or will i have to go to Sasktel for them to do it for me? or can i simply not get it because it is on ice cream sandwich?

The easiest way is to download software called "Samsung Kies" - it will let you connect to a PC/Mac (but not Linux), and you can update the OS from within Kies.
If you want to jailbreak/root your phone, it's a little more difficult, but can be done. The key is making sure you download the exact ZIP file for your device; otherwise you will run into problems (don't ask how I know!!!)
