Madsonic Support

Hello,

I've noticed that newer versions of MadSonic no longer sort albums by year within each artist. They are now sorted alphabetically. I've tried to get the old behavior back, but I've not been successful. What do I need to do to get MadSonic to sort by album year within each artist?

You can see what I'm talking about by browsing my server at http://davef.dyndns-at-home.com:4040/madsonic and using the username "guest" and the password "password". Select a genre from the tree on the left and then an artist from the list on the right.

Well, I figured it out. I disabled "Enable foldername parsing" and enabled "Enable Albumset/folder parsing".

yes this is true, you have also other options

look at your mediafiletype --> INFO -> http://forum.madsonic.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19

if you set your type to multiartist the sort will changed to alphabetical instead of single artist sort albums by year.
