Madsonic without internet access?

I have a server with madsonic that runs fine, until I firewall it from the internet.

It gives org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionStoreException
and Cannot find the declaration of element 'beans:beans'

A search only found one instance with that error from 2019. Their resolution was to open ports to allow Madsonic to access the web.

Has anyone successfully run madsonic without an internet connection?
