Madsonic Support

Hey everyone!

This is my current project. I have a running madsonic instance on my current server.

I am migrating to a new server as it is more powerful. I copied all the music over from the old server to the new one. The only difference is, the folder structure.

On the old server music was under:

D:\Music_Vault\Music

New server:

F:\Music

I installed madsonic on the new server, copied over the madsonic folder/settings from the old server over and fired it up. All the users and settings came over fine.

I changed the location of the music to reflect the new directory, and that went well.

My problem is, none of the Starred Music came over

What do I have to do to have the new install "remember" all the music I had starred previously?

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Hi there,

if you only need songs

1. go to your starred items
2. export starred items to playlist
4. recheck path in the exported playlist
3. logon on to your new Madsonic server instance
5. import playlist into new server
6. in the playlist view you can toggle your starred items.
