Hide mp3/albums
Re: Hide mp3/albums
But you can actually do that !
You need to separate for exemple the "Album A" for "User A" from the "Album B" for "User B" in you're music folder's.
Now that those Albums are separate you can add them in different music folders in the madsonic parameters.
Then you only need to manage access of the different music folders for every users !
Well i think you got it !

Code: Select all
"music_folder_A/album_A/song_A" for user A ( Classic music )
"music_folder_B/album_B/song_B" for user B ( Hardcore music )
Then you only need to manage access of the different music folders for every users !
Code: Select all
user 1 =
music_folder_A - OK
music_folder_B - OK
user 2 =
music_folder_A OK
music_folder_B NO
user 3 =
music_folder_A NO
music_folder_B OK

Re: Hide mp3/albums
I am using madsonic running on Synology. Not windows. Kinda difficult to alter files under Synology (command line). Putting an password on some album through madsonic would be much nicer and user friendly.
Re: Hide mp3/albums
Sure, it was just a work around !
But i know for sure that you can use command line on synology systems !
And them install an emulated Shell !
