so I have a question: there are a few Artists that release multiple albums in one year. CCR for example have three released in 1969. Yet they are not sorted in the list by the release date of the LP, but by the album title.

Currently display like this:
[1970] Cosmo's Factory
[1970] Pendulum
[1969] Bayou Country
[1969] Green River
[1969] Willy and the Poor Boys
[1968] Creedence Clearwater Revival


Should display like this:
[1970] Pendulum
[1970] Cosmo's Factory
[1969] Willy and the Poor Boys
[1969] Green River
[1969] Bayou Country
[1968] Creedence Clearwater Revival

Is there some way to sort these types of albums accurately?

It's sorting by year, from most recent to earliest (in brackets), and then based on the album title in alphabetical order.

The only way (that I can think of) to sort the way you are looking for would be either via the "release date" tag in the meta-data (which I am not sure can be done), or by replacing the year in the brackets with the full date.

What about a grouping or a custom 'sort' tag, which could be hidden unless the edit MetaData us chosen?

Might be able to group a folder by "series", but that would mean you'd have to remove these folders from your main "media folder" and move them to another location outside of that folder structure, then add it in Madsonic as a second (or third, etc...) media folder.

well for now I am just altering the YEAR so they are spread out more.
