Hello,

I'm a Subsonic and Sonos user that's evaluating Madsonic. I have a small problem, my multi-discs albums that are in separate folders like this:

artist - album name (CD1)
artist - album name (CD2)

They are catalogued in Madsonic as null - Disk1 and null - Disk2 for the album names.

Thanks for your help.

Hi there,

some things work different like in subsonic

you have two options to fix this:

1. in Madsonic there is a specific MediaType for Albumsets so .. put your albums in a subfolder and drop the set picture as set.png in this folder. more info: http://forum.madsonic.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19

2. disable Albumset parsing option: Settings -> General -> Enable AlbumSet/Folder Parsing

in both cases you should do a full rescan to force metadata refresh.

best regards

Hello Madevil,

Thanks for the quick reply, it's now working great. Since I have you on the line, I'll ask you 2 more quick questions.

My Sonos is not recognizing my login information for Madsonic. I get the following error in the logs: "Failed to enable/disable music service in Sonos controller 192.168.1.12: org.apache.http.client.HttpResponseException: Method Not Allowed"
Also my name.madsonic.org address is not connecting with a ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED.

For both of these problems, I've made sure to disable subsonic so there was no conflict.

Thanks again for your time.

Hi there,

Which Firmware version have your Sonos system? latest --> http://www.sonos.com/software/release/5-4

The domain share function (xxx.madsonic.org) need more backend services which aren't online at the moment, will come later.

Can you please set the Log-level to DEBUG and send me your madsonic.log file?

At the moment Sonos 6.0 is not public and have an NDA,
i found no documentation about interface changes,
but found many issues around this topic.

When its public this can be fixed!

best regards

I learned that this is a mandatory point: "drop the set picture as set.png in this folder" and it wont work if the set-folder does not contain album artwork. Would it be a bad idea to change Madsonic so that even folders without album art are considered as album sets? I think the existance of subfolder "CD1" and "CD2" are a clear indicator for an album set even without album art.
Not all album sets have album art and the user would have to create a file "madsonic_set.tag" manually everywhere where album art is missing.
