Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but it is possible to support lossless playback for the web player in future versions?
Transcoding is nice when bandwidth is an issue, but when it isn't I much prefer either flac or alac.
Thanks for all your hardwork on this.

Re: Web Player Lossless Playback
hi,
just get rid of " -b:a %bk " in step 1 ,,, there will be still a kind of transcoding from ape or flac to mp3 to without bandwith limit.
til now the best known way as workaround

Re: Web Player Lossless Playback
My apologies for asking here, but i've just noticed that with 'Max bitrate = No limit' flacs are transcoding into 128kbit quality - even in case Madsonic can't play losless with its web-player i would expect 'No limit' = 320kbit in that case... I'm doing something wrong?

Never mind, it turned out that is just an old subsonic bug, described here: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtop ... f=2&t=9403 and here: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtop ... =5&t=14101
