[solved] 5420 Database >Pandora > Navigation crashed.

Unread post by DoCC »

hellaz,

i had to reboot my server due to security updates. The reboot was triggered by script.
I think the forced shutdown -r may have caused some trouble with the bloody database.
As we all know the hsql DB runs completly in the RAM. It might by that the RAM wasn't able to put his info back to the madsonic.script file.

Due to that :

Code: Select all

[27.12.14 14:24]	INFO	DaoHelper	Checking database schema.
[27.12.14 14:24]	INFO	Schema47	Database table 'media_file' not found. Creating it.
[27.12.14 14:24]	ERROR	DaoHelper	Failed to initialize database.
[27.12.14 14:24]	INFO	DaoHelper	Checking HSQLDB version: 2.3.2
[27.12.14 14:24]	DEBUG	VersionService	Resolved local Madsonic version to: 5.2.5420
Ergo DB fucked up . time to reinitialize . jihaaaa ....
to be honest, this sucks. 1,1 TB takes its time ...

i apreciate the day if there comes an oracle db around the corner : P

EDIT ::
After reinitialize, copying my credentials, trancoder settings, podcasts etc pp

the debug log looks fine again ...

Code: Select all

conclusion ...
If you have a large amount of files . and a huge madsonic db.
you need an UPC ( apc, liebert or whatever ) and a BIG BIG reminder on your desktop to shut down the madsonic FIRST and then your host
