Madsonic Server 5.1.5150: JWPlayer and slow start

Hi,
I am testing Server-Version 5.1 at the moment before I switch to this new version in my "productive environment".
Because I read that using Tomcat instead of the normal windows-version could improve the speed I set up my testing environment with Tomcat.
Because I have no experience with Tomcat, so I am not quite sure whether my problems refer to Tomcyt or Madsonic.
I noticed:
1. Acessing the server with localhost in the browser after starting the tomcat-service takes about 15 seconds before the madsonic-login-screen appears. Is this long time normal with tomcat, is it a problem of Madsonic and am I able to avoid this behaviour?
2. The Adobe Player Plugin is always disabled. I dont see it above the playlist and I have to start it manually (Right mouse click) before I can play songs.
