Importing Private Playlist

OK so I have been reluctant to upgrade recently due to some of my users have created private Playlists, and the last time I upgraded their playlists were missing.
I know now to backup all playlists, but I am unsure how to mark the ones that were private for those particular users. If after the upgrade they're reimported they'll be listed as and private for user "Admin". I know i can mark each one public but it would be nice if I can allocate certain playlists as private, for certain users.
Is this possible?
