Search order?

What is the default search order and can this be changed?
I have a lot of Various Artists albums e.g. Hitzone 1 until Hitzone 65. These albums are in the directory Various Artists. I want to able to search for "Hitzone" albums and then sort them by year. So the latest, are on top of the search results. Is this possible?
