Not sure if this is a bug or just a configuration error/issue, or if it's due to the type of video being played, but I am not able to skip ahead when watching videos.
The video in question is an MP4 file, and it's being played via "Flash". Running the 6.1 beta version. I thought MP4 files could be skipped ahead, but it appears not to be the case (unless I have some sort of transcoding configuration issue.
I also thought I was using HTML5 for playing videos. I'll check into that also.
Can someone provide what transcoding settings I should be using if I want to convert files into a format that I can skip ahead on videos?
(Reason for skipping ahead is when I am watching a video, and I have to stop watching for whatever reason, and continue watching on a different device, I want to be able to skip ahead to the point I stopped at before, instead of watching everything again...)
can't skip ahead on videos
Re: can't skip ahead on videos
Hi,
Try this:
In General settings change "Used video player - setting flash --> Chromecast
Next
Settings -->Reset --> change transcoding: Madsonic - FLV/WEBM/MKV - all-in-one (recommended)
Now you should able to skip mp4 videos
