From my side, the most important feature now, is to add support for foreign characters.
As can be seen from the screendump, almost half of my library cannot be played using Madsonic because the song titles contains foreign characters.
Please, please help!

Hi there,

Support for foreign characters is more on the operating system side, you can see in our test environment there is no problem.

Provide more detailed information about the system used for better support. --> viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1520

use the right forum topic for answering --> viewtopic.php?f=75&t=2659

Dear Mr. Madsonic,

how is it going?
I am very excited to see that Madsonic is still alive.
Do you have a forecast, when we can see an update?
That would also mean, that I would buy a new licence ;)

br, Immanuel

Dear Mr. Madsonic
it is always nice to hear that things are going well now. and great that Madsonic is being developed into a well-developed and working program for audio enthusiasts. :)
After many other software, we as a team at itslife have chosen Madsonic and have concluded an indefinite contract.
Now we understand the hustle and bustle of getting up. we would therefore like to ask you to understand that not answering e-mail and facebook gives the impression that things are not going well. with Madsonic. and that for now we banish the other thought to the background. a point of improvement

Is this still being actively developed? I am a little hesitant to pay the license fee if this is a dead product.

It is still working if that's what you are afraid of
But no post from Madsonic since May 15th, so, it's not so clear as for the future.

Dead or not dead this product had a perfectly good working android app that the developer took down without reason and promised a new shiny working app what feels like at least 1 year ago ..... How do you take down a working android client app and never replace it with anything... If the project is dead then just open source it or at the very least leave a working the old working client available for download.... Ridiculous!

Amazon Music and iTunes killed it

iTunes free with cell subscription and Amazon Prime accounts get free music streaming

Ubiquitous music everywher with nothing to maintain

And bigger libraries than I had collected

"Alexa, play music by..."

Not for me.
but if there are no support, no more hope for a good android app, why continue paying ?

At the same time I built a proper home server and simply hosted an airsonic docker. Not 100% as good as Madsonic but I'll deal with it.
