Is Madsonic gone? My premium license stopped working. The Madsonic website is down. Oh well time to find another product.

Should we expect anymore updates with this project? Seems like things were moving and have gone stale for the last 6 months.

Is Madsonic dead? and if not, when is the expected relaunch?
It is December 2nd 2019. it's been almost 8+ months since the last bit of news.

I hope Madsonic doesn't go the same way as Subsonic. That would be a pity.

@Madsonic dips in and out only when there are problems with the license or DNS servers. I've been a user since VERY early with Madsonic, but it seems that it is on life support. It's a shame, because it took Subsonic in the direction many users wanted.

It would be great if @Madsonic would just drop a brief update - even if it's just to say real life has gotten in the way. Many of us could respect that.

I can't say it's been all bad. It's forced me to go the Spotify route for a while and I have discovered some bands I wouldn't have if Madsonic was getting regular updates.

I was heavily into Subsonic/Madsonic a few years ago, but then Verizon included Apple Music free with my hone plan.

It probably costs more to leave a server running all day than it does to subscribe to a music service that has a larger library that gets new music constantly and is maintained for you.

I enjoyed the old days of tinkering with Madsonic, but it just doesn't make much sense anymore. I also have Amazon Prime which includes a limited but useful access to Amazon Music. In addition, you can stream any radio station you want to listen to now.

The cloud has killed the need for local storage for most users.

But this was fun while it lasted.

Ask for the GPL code and see how fast your post is deleted.
