Same issue. Not sure how to purchase this license. I currently own a lifetime license for Subsonic but it doesn't work on Madsonic 6. How do I extend the trial?

Same problem. I've try to by premiun but option nin web is disable. Can you giveme a premium license temporaly whle you resolve the problem ?

I have premium but saying ti will expire on 30 Sept..how do i buy a permanent licence or get this one extended ?

Same as everyone else. Trial expired on September 11. Android app no longer connects. Happy to pay for a premium license, just tell me what I need to do.

I'm running on the latest subsonic until now and would like to switch to madsonic.
But I'm owning a lifetime subscription for subsonic and would like to ask if it's possible to transfer the license to madsonic.

Pretty sure that's not gonna work. Different devs and solutions.

Have the same problem, recently got a subsonic premium lifetime license.
Unfortunately wasn't aware about the MADSONIC license model, because it had worked in the past.

My premium license seems to be invalid again.
What to do?

I was given a Madsonic Premium license key (and still have it.) Things have been going great until (12/30/16).

I now get the message:
The trial period expired on November 11, 2016. Get Madsonic Premium to use this feature. - when I try to play something.

I go to the premium page and enter my license key in and then it says:
You have a valid Madsonic Premium license!

The license is registered to [my email address].


Then we keep going in circles because the trial period message still comes up.

I'm also getting a message in Android "The trial period for the Madsonic server is over." etc.
can play using the web interface.
updated to latest beta... entered premium key. can't access files in Android with subsonic or madsonic apps.

WARN SettingsService License key is not valid.

and connection from anfroid says server unlicensed

Any one any thoughts

Many Madsonic test licenses expired on 31.12.2016 and are no longer automatically extended.

The problem that I have with purchasing a Madsonic Premium subscription are as follows:

1.) I don't need the majority of the Premium features.

2.) I do not wish to pay a monthly subscription fee to access media I am hosting myself, especially when I don't need the "Personal server address feature" in Premium.

3.) I purchased the Madsonic Android client which no longer works due to license expiration on the server.

I would be happy to make a one time donation as I do believe you should be compensated for your work.

I would like to make the following suggestion:

Do not require a Madsonic Premium license for Mobile client access. There are plenty of other additional features in Premium that would be useful to many users, and worth the cost of Premium. If you still want to block access for mobile clients in the free version, what about adding a check in to allow access from the Madsonic Mobile client only (block other mobile clients in the free version, like UltraSonic, etc.).

I just do not like the fact that the Madsonic Android client is a paid app, but if you don't have premium Madsonic the app ceases to function. Again, thanks for all of your hard work on the project, but if staying beta/bleeding edge is not an option, I don't personally have a reason to stay with Madsonic, as I have a legacy Subsonic license, and a monthly Madsonic subscription just doesn't make sense for me.

FYI - since the trial period expired, I can't even play files locally. I understand taking away the "premium" features, but basic functionality seems broken now.

Do I need to change something?

only the Subsonic REST emulation is a Premium feature, the Madsonic REST 2.0 API is free!

You're right. I don't even know what REST or API means, even after browsing that page of code. I'm not trying to re/write a program - I just want to use Madsonic (instead of Subsonic) to stream my media when I'm away from home. Is there something in the settings that we need to un/check to get it working again?
