[Solved] Can't play anything since upgrade

Unread post by nelgin »

Code: Select all

VERSION: MADSONIC 6.0 | BUILD: 7520
SERVLET: JETTY
SERVER: CPU: AMD | ARCH: X64 | MEMORY: 4GB | HDD: 4TB
OS: CENTOS 7.1
SYSTEM: SERVER
INSTALLER: STANDALONE
JAVA: OPEN JDK 1.7.0_85
BROWSER: CHROME 46| FIREFOX 41
CLIENT: MADSONIC 6.0
DESCRIPTION: All audio is non-playable
REPRODUCIBLE: YES
I have just upgraded from 7111. Basically shutdown the madsonic service, downloaded the tar.gz file, uncompressed it over the top of the existing setup, and started up again. I notice that it created some LDAP database entry and a few other things.

Once I connected to the server, I was able to play video but nothing audio would work. I can't play a single file, "Play All" doesn't work, if I click to "Play next" or "Play Last" the box pops up but I can't select either option.

I did a media rescan and reset the transcoding but no effect. I didn't download the latest ffmpeg since the link is broken, but I can't see that stopping audio and not video.

help?

Thanks,
Nigel

I saw someone post they had a similar issue on the Support forum. I did the same thing, waited overnight and now it seems to be working fine.
