Audiophone for iOS 7

Invoked Code LLC (aka – me) is extremely excited to announce that our new iPhone app, Audiophone, was released Thursday on the App Store. Audiophone is a Subsonic client designed and built for iOS 7.

For it's 1.0 release, Audiophone has the following features (including some more technical details, since this seems to be the right crowd!):
  • Fresh iOS 7 inspired design
  • Beautiful use of album art to influence design
  • Easily access playback controls and the current playlist
  • Gapless Playback
  • AirPlay Support
  • One tap album shuffle
  • Artist Search
  • Lock Screen/Control Center/Headphone Remote Functionality
  • Browse Genres and play generated genre mixes
  • Local storage of database (as accessed) for fast navigation
  • Pre-buffering of the next song (including album art for display) for gapless playback
  • Album art retrieval from Discogs was included for albums that were missing art, but will be removed in 1.0.1 due to their recent API changes. (Sorry!)
Audiophone is available now on the App Store for $4.99. Check out the website for more information or to subscribe to our newsletter for release updates.

I posted about my new application on the main Subsonic forums and in a thread asking about clients here, but I thought it would be good to give a full rundown about it, since it also supports Madsonic and I would actually like to support some of Madsonic's custom functionality. (I for one would love to see Pandora support via the API!)

With 1.0 out the door and the foundation has been laid, I have plans to quickly implement features that will bring Audiophone to feature parity (at least for the features I feel are essential and fit within the app) with others in the market while maintain a fresh, fast, and clean UI. I also have plans for many future features that I haven't seen explored yet! That being said, the prioritization of future features will be based solely on user feedback. I welcome everyone to contact me with feedback, bug reports, and feature requests via email: support@audiophoneapp.com

Not at this time, it's on the roadmap but I have no definite plans for an ETA on this one.

Does this support cacheing? Im using iSub right now, but i love the way your app looks. Would definately buy it if it had the caching ability (I go on road trips with no signal very often) I would gladly pay the 5 bucks for this app if it was available, that and if it has a night mode (Dark theme) as i jailbreak my phone and run everything in a dark grey/black mode but i can use my tweaks to fix that if possible. Just need that cache ability! :) Looks like an amazing app tho!

Caching is very high on the priority list, but right now my focus is on a couple server-login and browsing bugs before adding that feature in. Hopefully it will be soon though!

Same here. The app looks great. As soon as offline capabilities are available, I'm ready to make the jump from iSub (which has a ton of features and performs really well, but has a terrible UI).

Streaming movies to iPad. Only reason I am still on iSub.

Sorry, saw I already posted this request... Blame it on my frustration :-D

Yes, it's indeed still alive. I recently posted a rather large bugfix/refactoring release to the App Store, but the primary "forum" channel (if you can call something that) would be on the mainstream Subsonic forums due to number of users. And again, while I haven't had any specific reports of Madsonic not working with Audiophone, I also don't test against it.
