Sharing Help

Unread post by dewd »

When someone opens a shared album in Chrome or IE, they get a player with the tracks queued and the first one plays. When they open the same album with Chrome on Android or the newest FireFox beta on Windows, it fails. I attached a screen capture of what happens on Android Chrome.

My question is about how this works. What is the player that appears in some browsers? Can it be changed to work on more devices?

Thanks.

So the player is flash based?

Is there an alternative? I see an option to use HTML5 for video but it does not have any effect on the shared music.

I'm guessing this is an issue on IOS devices too.

I have tested browser music playing in various mobile operating systems (android,WP,iOS,symbian..)

All of them suck...

*Bump*

Something should be done to fix this. Sharing becomes pretty much pointless when 80% of targeted users are on mobile devices. Switching from a flash embedded player to a responsive HTML5 page/player would be the best solution.

And removing the visual screensaver thing would also be a huge plus.
