How does the picture scan for artists and LAST-FM work?

I did a scan and have all artist-folders filled with an artist.jpg. What happens, if I clear the database and rebuild it. Is the information that there already exists an artist.jpg stored in the database oder does Madsonic look for already existing artist.jpg-files?

Hi madsub,

The LastFM-Artist Picture Sync works as follow

If you have a already running full scanned Madsonic library, start your Last-FM Artist-cover-Sync. As you already wrote, there will be a
artist.jpg or artist.png in each Artist Folder. So if you restart from scratch, Madsonic detect this Artist Cover
like the Album-cover detection. So no other/new Artist Cover will synced/copied if you rescan again.
To re-trigger this you must delete the artist cover.

If you have a Artist.* Picture in your Folder, Madsonic force the detection as Artist-Mediatype,
