1.Backup database & setting files
2.Upgrade Madsonic
3.Restore database & setting files

so, i just ran the package installer... and post-install, i had updated madsonic, and all my data was intact. nice.
did the same for Ubuntu 13.10
did the same for Ubuntu 13.10
