I got it working if I use subsonic app instead and run with mx player in hv mode, however, it takes longer time to start playing movies than normal.

I bought a sony z2 phone and a sony z2 plate and a z1 compact
it can not play video with madsonic and maxplayer on any of them.

It's fine to play video on mx player unless it comes from madsonic?

if you use the app and mx player its no problem.
But there are some problems to turn off subtitles or switch to another language then the first in line. In other words,if you only have one sub, it should be ok.
