There was another topic about this in Support 6.x about not adding new music to madsonic. Since Synology rolled out DSM 6, which needed a upgraded madsonic version (linux), mad-devil mad us a new one with Madsonic 6.1. I had also problems with linking my old music directory to the new madsonic insta...

Maybe to heavy to import 400GB with this new version? What NAS you got? Plus version? Play version? Cant you just break into parts? Try first with 100GB?

On my DS214+ i just made a directory Mp3 instead of my old Music directory. I moved like 80GB of mp3 in 1 row.

Want to see also the old 6.0 look (artist on the left) back. There's an option under General tab, but its not working.

Can you show any logs?

You can SSH with Putty on your Synolgy. On directory var/packages/Madsonic/target are the logs.

Hmm weird, because on my Synology NAS when i installed this version i had Madsonic in my Public. When i had problems with getting madsonic webinterface started, i removed Madsonic from the Public. I didnt get this warning at all. I even uninstalled/installed it like 4 or 5 times or so. Lets hope Mad...

So far i know, Madsonic directory on the public directory wont be used so long you dont restore any backups. Your guys trying to restore a backup or something?

Make a new shares, and put few mp3 into it. I know for sure the new share works.

I had that also. When i made a new Share on my Synology NAS, and moved some music to the new share, Madsonic suddenly could find the music. Maybe you should check your persmissions on that folder. If that doesnt help, just make a new share and move all music from the old location to the new share.

Sidepanel for playlist isnt working. Tested on Synology platform and Desktop. On both version, playlist not showing up on the left side (tools and option on top, albums on the left).

Did you said no, when it ask to restore a backup? Tell us some more information.

No problems here, since i use https (ssl certificate).

Logs are in the Var/packages/Madsonic/target folder. Accessible through Putty with SSH (if SSH enabled)
