Re: REST API: albums empty, but folders populated
I've received several error reports from users of DSub over the last few months as well

getTopPlayedSongs
What exactly is http://beta.madsonic.org/pages/api.jsp#getTopplayedSongs supposed to do? I thought maybe it was going to have something to do with ratings since in that context get top played and get most played sound like the same thing. I can't get getTopPlayedSongs to actually show anything thoug...

Re: song show up like album in top rated list
That's fine I just check on the isDir param. It would probably be better if it was labeled as a song instead but it works the way it is in the next DSub update.

Re: Authentication issues after upgrading to 5.7.380
My guess is that you are using LDAP. I disabled auth tokens on DSub because they don't work against LDAP users and there is currently no way for a client to distinguish between them.

Re: Dynamic DNS adress
Your kidding right? There is no way to share something and not have the DNS information in it. It is literally how the server the share is on is identified.

Re: DSub - No Data
Tokens appear to still not work on latest build: pass=dsub salt=6i1t5qe1sqljv2pd0nqesc3eii token=bfabec378880234916c3307b9fd1db9f echo -n dsub6i1t5qe1sqljv2pd0nqesc3eii | md5sum bfabec378880234916c3307b9fd1db9f Yet I get a wrong username/password error. Issue appears to only happen with LDAP users.

Re: DSub - No Data
Also Mad can you please add a way for me to tell that I can use the 2.0 API from a normal response? Otherwise I will just pretend like it is an actual Subsonic install.

Re: DSub - No Data
It appears that it is because DSub is falling back to the Subsonic emulated version and using tokens. If Mad just copied the same code from Subsonic then it probably suffers from the same bug where LDAP users will not work using tokens. PS There is a bug in the current version of DSub where the toke...

Re: Feature: REST API refactoring
With that I have no way of knowing that I can switch to using the 2.0 API for Madsonic. By default I will send a request saying that the app requires a min of 1.2. It will then respond with saying that it is subsonic and the version is 1.13. I will have no way of knowing that it is a Madsonic server...

Re: Feature: REST API refactoring
I like it, BUT can you add something else such as madsonic="2.0.0" so I know that I can also use 2.0.0. Otherwise I will run the first test and it will return 1.13.0 and I will just continue on ignoring the newer API version.

Re: Madsonic 6.0 Sneak Peak
How exactly are you calculating that the salt/token is valid? Using the exact same code which works against a stock Subsonic server it fails saying wrong username/password.

Out of curiosity are you pulling all the upstream Subsonic API changes for the REST 2.0?

Re: Madsonic Development
I was wondering/assuming the same thing. I don't think Madsonic was getting that people aren't against paying, just against an ongoing fee. I'm not paying a monthly fee to host my own crap when I can just pay twice as much for a vastly superior service via GMusic or Spotify. I am willing to pay for ...

Madsonic REST API Version
Can you stop having Madsonic claim to be a higher REST version then it actually is? For example 5.1 claims to be 1.12 which is a version above what the maximum Subsonic version, but doesn't even support stuff from 1.11. Also, the documentation on http://beta.madsonic.org/pages/api.jsp is wrong. It c...

Re: How to always display folder names in API clients
Madsonic would need to change it so that the title of the album was pulling from the folder and not the tags.

Re: Cant play any movie on Android
You can also try using VLC. It could be the source format you are using. I have had some success using RAW and playing mp4s with VLC.
