Now that this post has been approved, a small update: I find that simply backing out of the app until it closes, then re-opening the app, seems to restore the "Now Playing" functionality. Better than rebooting but still annoying.

I am having a problem with the "Now Playing" bar not displaying after a few sessions of use. I use this app mostly in my car so a "session" is a commute. I have found that rebooting the phone will allow the bar to return, but barring that, there is no way to access the Now Playin...
