I found that several old videos I had downloaded were in Realmedia, f4v, and ASF formats. Adding rmvb, rm, asf, and f4v to the transcoding convert from field for videos has allowed them to play without a hitch on Debian Jessie with ffmpeg from the Debian multimedia repos (ln -s /usr/bin/ffmpeg /var/...
I would like to third this but add in HTML5 video support as well. Have been following: forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11254 each time I upgrade and it seems to work fairly well.
