what print it out of you type 'locale' with the madsonic user in? it need to be an UNTF8 locale set. you can do that with 'dpkg-reconfigure locales' That will fix the Webview. Not only with Podcasts. i also get trouble with Music with Unicode Characters.
i have some Music with ä, ö, ü, "_" and so on. The ID3 Tag - Filescan doesnt list that in the Libary.

My Server is in the web. so i change the URL to:
http://madsonic.myserver.com/adminSettings.view?
i got a redirect to:
https://madsonic.myserver.com/adminSettings.view?
and the Settings Page load correctly
